We get calls and emails everyday from people literally from around the world that are needing either personal or corporate documents apostilled in the state of Texas. With the most Fortune 1000 companies of any state in the U.S. and the second most Fortune 500 companies, Texas has alot of corporate apostille documents that need to be filed.

With this all said, the two biggest complaints we here from people is how outrageous (we agree) the apostille fees are they’ve seen online from different nationwide or Texas based apostilled document services companies. The second is they were told they could apostille documents when the TX SOS clearly states they can’t or not unless they’ve went thru certain legal channels first.

Examples of this are…

- Certified copies of Birth Certificates, Death Certificates or Marriage Certificates issued ONLY by
Texas Department of State Health Services.

-Certified copies of Divorce Records issued ONLY by Texas Department of State Health
Services or Texas courts.

- Certified copies of corporation documents: Articles of Incorporation, Articles of Amendment,
Articles of Merger, Articles of Dissolution, Certificate of Status issued ONLY by Texas Secretary of State.

Documents Issued by Federal Agencies

Apostilles for documents generated by U.S. federal executive and administrative agencies
are ONLY issued by (NOT by ANY state Secretary of State’s office):

Authentications Office
U. S. Department of State
518 23rd St., N.W.
Washington, D.C. 20520
(202) 647-5002

Apostilles for documents generated by U.S. Courts are ONLY issued by the clerks and deputy clerks of the Federal Court System ONLY. (NOT by ANY state Secretary of State’s office):

A high school or college transcript, degree or diploma may only be certified by the educational institution that ISSUED the transcript or diploma. The certifying official for the school/institution MUST complete the certification before a licensed Texas Notary Public. The ORIGINAL notarized document (no copies) must be sent and only then can a Texas apostille be issued for the notarized certified transcript or diploma by the TX Secretary of State’s office.

Or for notarization of a PHOTOCOPY of the original school record, the owner of the original document must sign an affidavit on the photocopy, in the presence of the notary public. In either case, the notary must complete the appropriate notarial certificate acknowledging the date the signer appeared before him/her.

To compare prices for the EXACT same Texas apostille service we provide, we have included some of the biggest apostille companies fees we copied right off there website and what they charge for Texas apostille services compared to Mobile Austin Notary.  Be ready to be shocked! :O

apostilla.com
$200.00 includes notary stamp (only $6 in TX), SOS filing fee (only $15 in TX), and overnight U.S only courier fee (averages $15-$25). So if you take off the $6 notary fee, $15 state filing fee, and we take the worst case scenario the U.S ONLY courier fee of $25 that all totals $46. $200 – $46 = $154 there charging you for ONE Texas apostilled document. We charge only $65-$90 and the vast majority of the time you will need to get your documents notarized in the state or country you live in before you send them to Texas to be apostilled. So that $6 notary fee you would never be charged for by us.

apostille.com $400 PER diploma, transcript, or degree. (what can we say about this, beyond robbery with this $400 per document price).

apostillenow.com 1st document apostilled $159, additional documents $99 – includes $6 notary, TX state filing fee $15, and priority mail to USA only ($5-$9). So if you take off the $6 notary fee, $15 state filing fee, and we take the worst case scenario the U.S ONLY priority mail fee of $9 that all totals $30. $159 – $20 = $129 there charging you for ONE Texas apostilled document. We charge only $65-$90 and the vast majority of the time you will need to get your documents notarized in the state or country you live in before you send them to Texas to be apostilled. So that $6 notary fee you would never be charged for by us. Plus, they charge you $99 for any additional apostilled documents they do for you. We charge a nationwide low of just $25 per additional apostilled documents.

samspassport.com
·$70.00 FOR REGULAR SERVICE – our fee $65
·$100.00 FOR RUSH SERVICE – our fee $75
·$150.00 FOR EMERGENCY SERVICE – our fee $90
No discount first 4 documents!! Our fee is only $25 per additional, this company will charge you $70-$150 X 4 documents! :O

When people don’t want to study for four years to get a job, there are always other places of learning. These institutions provide career advancement through hands on training that is needed in today’s workforce.

One of these places is the Texas Vocational School also known as TVS located in Victoria. There are only a few programs available for people to choose namely business, paralegal and welding.

Those who have a fascination for airplanes can try Redstone Institute in Houston that offers a diploma in airframe and power plant. People who graduate can work as part of the maintenance crew of one of the major air carriers in the United States or even abroad.

Everest College in Fort Worth, Texas offers the student business administration, medical billing or assisting, pharmacy technician and paralegal. The person will just fill the application form so that a brochure can be delivered to the home.

Women can also do well in a vocational school as the Milan Institute of Cosmetology in San Antonio offers people the opportunity to become a manicurist, a cosmetologist or an instructor that will teach people how to beautify the face.

People who are unable to go to campus during the day will be happy to know that evening classes are being offered. Some of these schools offer a $1,000 scholarship for qualified students so those who are interested should fill up the application form.

Not everybody may be able to avail of the scholarship due to budget constraints. Those who would still like to enroll can try getting a Federal Pell Grant or aid from such organizations such as the Texas Commission for the Blind and the Texas Rehabilitation Commission among others.

People who graduate from any of these vocational schools will not have difficulty in getting a job. This is because the Texas Workforce Commission and the Proprietary Schools Section accredit most of the programs being offered.

Students who are interested in enrolling in one of the programs should have a high school diploma and passed the General Education Development Test or GED. Those who haven’t can take the entrance exam instead.

After this first step, the applicant will have to take a personal interview conducted by the administrator or by another representative from the school. This person will serve as a counselor in focusing on the program of study that will help attain the student’s long-term goals.

Are you looking for paralegal jobs in Texas? Well then you should have some certification in that field. There has been a growth in Texas paralegal jobs in recent years due to the high expansion of the legal field here. Let’s take a look at the condition of paralegal jobs in this state.

Educational Qualification

It is important for you to have a high school diploma if you want to do Texas paralegal work. It also helps if you have two or four year degrees more in addition to the high school diploma. Though college diploma is not a must, the competition for paralegal jobs is so high in the state that most lawyers will only employ assistants who have certification and degree.

If you have a degree in paralegal studies then it helps a lot. There are many colleges which will help you get that. But it probably is a relief that though employers look for a college education, they generally don’t look for graduate or undergraduate degrees in paralegal studies. However you can always get one to your benefit.

However even though they do not look for degrees in paralegal studies, they always look for certificates in paralegal studies. These certificates have to be approved by the American Bar Association (ABA). Right now there are six legal schools in Texas that are approved under the ABA.

These include the Southwest Texas State University in Sam Marcos, Lee College in Baytown, Southeastern Paralegal Institute in Dallas, Southwestern Paralegal Institute in Houston, the Center for Advanced Legal Studies in Houston and El Centro College in Dallas.

You can also look for online programs that grant degrees in paralegal studies. Unfortunately the problem is that as of date the ABA has not approved of any online courses for the same.

Professional Paralegal Associations

If you want to do Texas paralegal work then you have to join and become involved in the paralegal division of the state bar. It is also mandatory for you to join one of the many professionals associations that have been set up for Texas paralegals only.

There are many such associations throughout the state so you can choose one that is near to your location. Also you will also be required to join a national organization like National Association of Legal Assistants (NALA).

There are many reasons why you should join an association like this. It will help you to keep abreast of the new Texas laws that are being implemented and your network among paralegal professionals will grow. This will help you to find newer and better paralegal jobs in Texas.

The Job

In Texas, you need to work on an internship before you can start your career as a paralegal. This working internship is accepted as a part of the graduation and certification course. This is like a training period where you gain valuable knowledge that will help you in Texas paralegal employment.

It is also a good idea to volunteer to local “legal aid” offices for free, as this will give you some experience in a specific legal arena. It is easy to find these offices in every Texas County.

Paralegal Jobs in Texas have a lot of scope as compared to other states and this is one good state to start your paralegal career in.

First and foremost you want to make sure that you enroll at a school that has been approved by the The National Association of Legal Assistants-Paralegals which is the nation’s top professional association for paralegals. This can easily be confirmed by visiting their website Nala.org. Once you arrive at this website you’ll want to search for Paralegal and then review the list of approved programs. If you can’t find it then just pick up the phone the number is: 918-587-6828.

After you confirm that the school you are interested in attending is approved, you will want to visit the website for Fort Worth Texas Paralegals Association which is: Fwpa.org. If you can’t find the school you are looking for, don’t panic just click on the “Contact” link in the navigation and fill out the form. Someone will call or email you back promptly they are paid to wait for people to ask questions like this one, so don’t be shy just ask.

Denton County Paralegal Association can be another place to look for if your school of interest is approved by. They have a website at: Dentonparalegals.org. They don’t have a phone number for contacting them on their website so just go to their contact us page and fill out the form for someone to call, or email you back with a request for school approval by their association.

These are just a few associations that you can check, there are many more out there but I don’t want to over exhaust you with information. I am writing this article here today to inform you, and raise awareness so the education system in Dallas remains at the curriculum level it’s been known for many years.

To find out more about paralegal schools Dallas online, go to this Paralegal Training website where you can find out about legal careers and how to become certified.
