Is it possible to do a paralegal course (professional) on a J1 visa ?

I would like to move to the US after I finished law school in the UK next year. Since I cannot practice law with a British Law degree in GA, I would like to look into becoming a paralegal.
I know there are courses which I can earn a certificate in paralegal studies. But these are professional certificates, would I be able to come to America on a j1 student visa for this?

If you will have a law degree from UK, you can enroll into LLM course in one of the law schools in USA, and many States would allow you to sit for the bar exam. If you pass the bar, you can practice law in that State in USA (be a lawyer). The type of visa would depend on the program/school. Contact specific LLM programs for more information. If you are admitted to the bar in USA and licensed to practice law — you will still need a work visa or a ‘green card’ in order to be able to live and work in USA.
