Have you ever taken paralegal courses?

I’m thinking about taking them online at www.legalstudies.com.

Do you think they’re worth it? And will I be able to get a job? At my school they offer live lectures, online and a couple others. Which do you think would be best.

Is anyone actually a paralegal?

I want to go to law school and become an attorney then maybe a judge. I had an internship at the Public Defenders office and I loved it.

Thanks

I am an actual paralegal and I am telling you this: DO NOT STUDY ONLINE!!!

Law firms do not recognize online school as sufficient education. They want paralegals that went to the best schools possible, and those are the schools that are approved by the American Bar Association (ABA). Trust me, it does matter!

In addition, you can’t learn substantive legal online. You need to be with an instructor that can thoroughly explain topics/ideas/legal theories and answer your questions.

If you are already enrolled in a paralegal program and want to take your general education classes online, then by all means do it. I did. But not the law courses.
