I would like to move to the US after I finished law school in the UK next year. Since I cannot practice law with a British Law degree in GA, I would like to look into becoming a paralegal.
I know there are courses which I can earn a certificate in paralegal studies. But these are professional certificates, would I be able to come to America on a j1 student visa for this?

I have basic paralegal on the job training in the US and was wondering what the qualifications are for paralegals in British Columbia? Is there a course you are required to take, meaning a certification or degree? If so, any suggestions for an accredited online or home study I could do here in the US to prepare for the job search once I move to BC?

I want to go back to school to be a paralegal but I was wondering how long it would take if I attend four classes a semester and what kind of classes I have to take? Do I still need my English, math and communication classes?
